When you are picking team members to work with on a project, do you always pick those who agree with every opinion of yours? Consider for a moment the benefits you could reap from a team member who has a different vision. Sometimes when things go too well, we progress so fast we miss the blind spots. Friction creates conflict, which can be unpleasant sometimes, but friction can also be the ladder to greatness.

We often see characters in movies blowing cars up by throwing a lit match or firing a bullet at the gas tank. If cars exploded so easily, wouldn’t we have a stricter policy on cigarettes at gas stations? With all the careless smokers on earth, everyone would have to be strip-searched for matches and lighters prior to approaching the gas pump the way airports scan us before we reach the gate.

Is having a lot of choices to choose from a good thing? If you are selling, it’s not always a good thing to have too many choices. Researchers created two stands. One stand had six types of jam to sell. The other stand had twenty four types of jam to sell.
