One night we took 4 homeless people from the street. One of them was in critical condition. I knew I probably could not save her life but I still took care of her with what my love for life can do. I put her in bed and there was such a beautiful smile on her face. She took my hand as she said her last words, “Thank you.”

I asked myself, “what would I say if I were in her place?” I thought I would probably had said something so that I can draw a little more attention to myself. I could have said, “I am hungry, I am cold, I am in pain, or even I am dying.” But this lady gave me much more—she gave me her grateful love. She died with a smile on her face.
