This I Thought was True
All Babies Are Innocent

All babies are innocent and adorable. This I thought was true. Actually, they might be cute, but they are not that innocent. At half a year old, babies can already fake emotions to gain attention. Have you ever seen babies cry without shedding tears? What about when babies pause for no reason while they’re crying? Those evil babies were listening to see if anybody has fallen for their traps. We don’t need siblings or friends to teach us how to lie (or pretend). It is in our nature to lie (or pretend) in order to get what we want or to avoid punishment. Through the process of growing up, we start to learn the consequences of lying. Sometimes we don’t really learn how harmful lying can be until we lose something valuable, like friendship. We were born with the skill to lie (or pretend), but we can choose to be an honest person when we grow up.
